We had a wonderful weekend full of laughs and giddiness. Not sure why! Perhaps the breakfast plate kicked the silliness off! I think my husband celebrated "his" day just right. He watched the US Open for most of the weekend. We went to the pool Sunday morning, but was scared off by the ugly, dark clouds you see below. It was dark, windy and sounds of thunder were in the distance. So we went home.
But of course in true Glancey luck we came home, showered and the sun was shining brightly right after. Ho, hum. Oh well, we spilled into the neighborhood where we were met by all the other dads playing with their kiddos. Then in for more golf, cookout and an evening movie. The gifts? Well, here's the gifts we got my husband:
My husband complained about not having a picture of us when he traveled for business. This frame closes with a magnetic closure. The man in the frame is no relation to us ;) I replaced it with pictures of the kids on the left and a picture of Tom and I on the right.I found these products at Compendium Inc. It's such a great little gift site with cute ideas. My girls took the responsibility of "interviewing" their dad promptly! The interview doesn't seem like it'll end any time soon. The book is filled with great questions like, "What was your childhood home like..." and "...What are the one or two things you did that you didn't tell your parents about..."! It is really making him think about what to say! It's a great heirloom piece.
In addition to these two gifts, my husband received a cactus plant as our youngest was adamant about getting him one for his office and a set of his favorite golf balls.
Hope all the dads out there had a wonderful Father's Day!
xoxo
